Commonly mapping units are complexes or associations of multiple soil types. The areas included in these different data sets cover most of the state; they are all free online. However, data collected about soils are based on the analysis of those soil series, not of the mapping unit. Soil Map Unit Descriptions (1) Mixed Alluvial This channel-dissected soil complex occurs in floodplains and drainageways, and is susceptible to flooding1. The digital dataset is adapted from the original 1:250 000 scale soil map series.
